I am a 26 year old single mom who works in the medical field in the USA as a Phlebotomist. I am looking to move to Australia. However I do not see my occupation listed on the SOL. And I cannot apply for a working holiday visa as my country is not included in the list. Can anyone help?
Thanks so much Mandy

Hello,
Australia does have a working holiday option for those from USA: Work and Holiday Visa (Subclass 462) The Work and Holiday (Subclass 462) visa is for young people aged 18 to 30 who want to travel and work for up to 12 months in Australia. This visa allows you to supplement the cost of your holiday through periods of temporary or casual employment. The Work and Holiday visa program is designed to encourage cultural exchange and closer ties between arrangement countries. This visa is for people from Chile, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey and the USA. Citizens of Iran who are currently in Australia on a Work and Holiday visa may also be eligible to apply for further Work and Holiday visas. An arrangement with Bangladesh has also been signed, but is not yet in effect. For more information about this visa, please select the country below for which you hold a passport and click on 'Continue to your visa'. http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/working-holiday/462/ |
