"V Australia, the international arm of Virgin Blue, is understood to be about to announce a new 16-hour, non-stop Perth to London service in 2011 that will be the world's second longest air route and will shave up to five hours off today's journey."

Don't know if I could cope with 16 hours on a plane but it would be great not needing two flights.

I'd definitely be up for this. I hate changing flights so this is great news. Given the length of the flights, I wonder if the seats will be a bit more spacious than usual.

Just having the one flight would make all the difference to me. It's all the hanging around at the airports that I can't stand. It takes up so much time.

If I use this flight next year, I will invest in a good pair of flight socks. I've never been one for moving about much on a plane but all that sitting is not good for you. I wonder how many meals you'd be served?

Thanks. I hadn't realised it was so long away.

Yes, you'll have to wait a bit longer to find out the price of these long flights - I'm looking forward to having this option even though I think I might go mad with 'cabin fever' on such a long flight. They would need to have good entertainment on board!!
