Buying books from overseas

I've just bought some books from Amazon UK and now I'm fretting because I have heard that there are postal strikes in London and huge piles of letters and parcels waiting to be delivered. Normally my parcels take 10 - 14 days to arrive so I'll just have to wait and hope...
Has anyone received a parcel lately from Amazon? Do you think my parcel will be affected?

Sorry, I've not had a parcel from the UK recently. Fingers crossed for you they arrive OK. :)
For books, have you thought about using Fishpond? They have free delivery over $49.

Thanks, I hope so too. Yes, I'll probably use Fishpond more until the post is back to normal.

Glad it arrived OK as I hear there may be strikes next week in the UK.

I've just ordered some xmas stuff from Amazon over the past few days - hoping they will come before the strikes begin.

Good news is that overseas deliveries on Amazon UK are not affected by the postal strikes.:)

Postal strikes are over for now in the UK - well the next two months.
