Yes, they'll work if you have a multi-region DVD player. Here's a reply from FamousFive about multi-region DVD players in an earlier thread.

Yes, it's no problem getting multi-region DVD players here. We have one. As far as I can recall, the shop we bought it from supplied us with a DVD that, when it played, automatically programmed the player to be multi-region. So now we can buy DVDs from anywhere in the world and play them.

It's really easy and cheap to get a multi region DVD player in Aus, so DVD's from Amazon UK will be fine.

Yes, they will definitely work with a multi region DVD. You will save on VAT too. :)

So if you had the situation the other way around, then DVD's from Australia would not work in the UK?

You will need to be careful because UK and Aus are in different regions. UK is in DVD region 2 and Aus is in DVD region 4.

Some DVDs are region 0 - which means that they will play on any DVD player.

Best to check the DVD cover before you purchase it to make sure that it will play in the UK.

Most DVD players are multi region these days. If you need to you can often get a 'code' from the manufacturer to allow the DVD player to play any region of DVD.
